A vendor from Utah called Bodygardz wants our input on a view port screen protector for ballistic shields (they will be at the competition).  I have used their product on my ballistic shield and I am impressed.  Wake County SO is also using their product.  It is similar to a screen protector you would have on your smart phone screen.  It will protect your ballistic shield view port from scratches which can decrease your ability to clearly see through the view port.  Their prices are very reasonable ($25.00) and they want to get sizes for our shield view ports so samples can be brought to the 2013 SWAT Competition.  Please take the time to measure your shield view port and send them to me along with the manufacturer and model of your shield (ie. Protech, Intruder, Body Bunker, Defender, Mighty Might, MUST, NATO).  Those measurements can be sent to me at wpage@wilsonnc.org .  If you want the company to bring protectors for your team’s shields, include that in your email with how many you want.

The regional training at Fort Bragg will be in the Fall but it has not been scheduled yet.  We are still working on updating our website at ncswat.org.  The symposium will be in the Fall as well but it has not been scheduled.  Stay tuned for more updates in the near future.  We are in the process of getting your membership cards out to the ones that have joined in the past couple of months (our printer is back up and running).
