Letter from AA Boone

NORTH CAROLINA TACTICAL OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
January 1, 2012

On behalf of the former executive board officers for the NCTOA, I would like to wish all of my S.W.A.T. Brothers, Sisters, Tactical Medics, Commanders, Members, Instructors and Venders a Happy New Year. The following board officers Sgt. Byrd of Wake County S.W.A.T. (Vice President, Officer Brady of Clayton PD S.W.A.T. (Secretary), Officer Andy Page of Wilson PD S.W.A.T. (Treasurer), and Senior Officer A. A. Boone Raleigh PD S.W.A.T. Trainer (President) have ended our tour of duty for our term as serving the NCTOA.
I would like to thank all of you for your loyal support, dedication, determination, motivation and desire to make the NCTOA a success once again. Without you this success would not be a reality. We have shared tears, blood, ideas, love, time, and success over the last 2 ½ years. I can remember the commitment we made to give 100% toward getting the NCTOA up and running again. This commitment did not only come from us as your elected officers but from each and every one of you as well.
I would like to thank each agency throughout the State of North Carolina for understanding the importance of training for your S.W.A.T. Units. When I say training this is the regional training that was started up and just continued to get stronger and stronger. Thank you for the participation of teams attending the S.W.AT. conferences over the last three years that the NCTOA sponsored. Please consider this upcoming year which will be the 20th anniversary of the S.W.A.T. conference.
I would like for you to welcome the newly elected officers with open arms and ideas. Please continue to stay strong and support the NCTOA. Andy Page your former treasurer is now the new President. Andy is an outstanding operator with several instructor certifications. Andy has a great deal of knowledge towards tactics and he is motivated to keeping this positive movement in the right direction. We must continue to work as a whole to maintain the success of the NCTOA.
In conclusion my S.W.A.T. Brothers it has been a great term in office for all of us and we enjoyed serving you and will continue to be a part of this family for life. Just remember that S.W.A.T. IS NOT WHAT YOU DO, IT IS WHO YOU ARE 24/7. The way you prepare yourself for the fight is the way you will perform when the fight finds you. Stay safe my brothers and remember to ROLL THE FEET AND STAY IN THE FIGHT!!!!

Master Operator,
A.      A. Boone (Former NCTOA President)
