Banzai retired as a Lieutenant with Durham PD. He currently serves NCCU police as the Emergency Mangmt. Coordinator. He stills serves part time with Orange County SO.
Kevin Black started his SWAT career as an entry member with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in 1996. He left the agency and became a Detective with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in 2001 and later that year became a member of their team. In 2004 he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commander of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Team and in 2006 was promoted to the position of team commander. Kevin took a break from 2007-2008 and was deployed in support of the war on terror. He was stationed at the Iraq/Kuwait border as a military police officer. Upon return he held the position of commander until 2010. In late 2010-2011 Kevin worked for Blackwater in Afghanistan in support of the Afghan Border Police Program. On this program he worked as mentor/instructor with the Afghan Border Police instructing firearms and special weapons. In late 2011 he became a member of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office SRT team. His duties included entry team member, sniper and breacher. In 2013 he was certified as a sniper with the team and in 2014 became a plank holder in the newly implemented Explosive Breacher Team.
